Someone asked for a LCD touchscreen?
almost 8 years ago – Sat, Apr 30, 2016 at 05:14:20 PM

Hey everyone!

Your support in the past three weeks has been amazing, and we thought it was time to share some more exciting news.

We finally can share with you more details on our new LCD screen, which will be included in the new “Deluxe (+)” pledge or available separately as an add on. If you can’t wait to get yours, we have more info on how to amend your pledge below.

LCD screens will be available to ship at the same time as our existing reward levels, so you don’t have to worry about having to wait any extra time. After all, this is called Deluxe (+)!

Watch this!

What can the LCD screen do?

With the LCD display, you can select which file you want to print from your SD card by selecting it in the visual menu. It will also allow you to control your print directly from Trinus: you can pause/resume, adjust speed and temperature, and check how much time is left to completion.

How can I add the LCD screen to my existing pledge?

There are two ways to get the LCD screen with your Trinus: upgrade your pledge to Deluxe (+) or add it as an add on to your existing pledge.(+$60)

Our Deluxe (+) is the best bang-for-the-buck reward level, as you can get ALL the accessories (laser engraver, aluminium enclosure, heated bed, 1kg of polyplus filament, and the LCD screen) for $549.

Here’s how to upgrade your pledge:

If you want to add the LCD display as an add-on, check the graphic at the bottom of the campaign page.

Here at Kodama we love to use the LCD screen to track the progress of our prints, and we’re sure you’ll be as excited as we are about this!

Thanks again for all your help and support - we are so excited to be able to bring Trinus to the world.

Meet our partners and Quin doll, plus our KS video in HD!
about 8 years ago – Mon, Apr 11, 2016 at 05:17:20 AM

Hello Trinus heads!

Today we’ve got three news items for you:

1. Meet our partners

One of the things we’re proudest about is our collaboration with three companies we respect and admire – Flextronics, Polymaker, and Panowin. To tell you a little more about them, we’ve made a short video highlighting each company and the things they’ll be bringing to this project. Check it out below!

2. Thanks, Quin!

For those of you who watched our video and were curious about our main character Dave’s favorite doll, we wanted to introduce you to Quin! She comes from the good folks over at 3DKitbash. Super easy to print and assemble, she’ll quickly become your favorite doll too. To download Quin’s design, and to find other awesome 3D-printable toy models and printer test kits, head over to 3DKitbash’s website.

3. Our Kickstarter video in HD

Speaking of our Kickstarter video, we’re tickled to hear so many of you enjoyed it! We had a lot of fun making it. We’ve actually just uploaded an HD version of it on Vimeo, so if you want to watch Dave’s Trinus love story in full hi-def glory, hop on over to our Vimeo page now.

This weeks remaining updates:

  • 1. Odoroki - please don't ask ;-)
  • 2. Printing on heated bed: ABS, PC & Nylon + 50 & 100 micron prints (pics + videos)

That’s all for now! Keep chirping at us — we love hearing your feedback, and we have been adding your most common questions to our FAQ section, so do check that out as well.

As always, thanks so much for following along.

In gratitude,

Team Kodama

We salute you, dear backers!

You’ve blown us away!

We blew past our goal of $50,000 in just 54 minutes, and passed $100,000 in less than 24 hours. Thank you for being with us at the start of this incredible journey. We feel your support from all around the world, and we are filled to the brim with gratitude.

That said, this is just the beginning for Trinus. We want to bring professional-grade 3D printing to everybody, and in order to do that, we need your help spreading the word about Trinus and our Kickstarter.

Will you take a minute to back us on our Thunderclap campaign?

 https://www.thunderclap.it/projects/39638-trinus-2-in-1-3d-printer

By signing up, you agree to let Thunderclap make a one-time post on your Facebook, Twitter, and/or Tumblr on behalf of Trinus. You’ll be helping us build momentum for this Kickstarter campaign, which is important because the more funding we get, the more add-ons we’ll be able deliver to your Trinus in the future. We are dedicated to making your machines better and better.

A HUGE THANKS TO ALL OF YOU!!
